MediCall – Improving Global Oncologist Communication

During my second year studying Communication & Multimedia Design at Hogeschool Utrecht, I collaborated with Maarten Ploemacher and Britt van der Kolk on a project for World Child Cancer. Their challenge for us was to find a way to improve communication between oncologists in developed and developing countries, enabling doctors to collaborate more effectively and help more children with cancer.

Through research, we discovered that an app would be the best solution. We then focused on defining the key features and understanding the needs of our target audience. Based on these insights, we developed MediCall—an app that allows oncologists to connect, discuss complex cases, and share valuable knowledge.

My role in this project included:

• Creating the final deliverables for the client
• Designing wireframes and clickable prototypes
